How To Help

Foster.  Since we do not have a shelter, we rely on foster families to provide  caring and loving homes for our dogs while they wait for their forever families.  Foster families provide a temporary stop on a dog's way to happily-ever-after.  With every foster family we add to our program, we can rescue another dog waiting at a shelter.

A foster family is responsible for the daily care and support for the dog they welcome into their home and hearts.  A foster family helps a dog in need become more adoptable by teaching them house manners and by providing a consistent source of love - something they might not have known before.  Being a foster parent is not an easy task and is not for everyone.  It is however, the hardest job you'll ever love.

Foster homes go through the same interview and review process as potential adopters.  Fostering can be anywhere from a few days to a few months. To start the process of becoming a foster home, please submit an
Adoption and Foster Application.

Show Your Support.  Visit our Shop Rescue page and purchase one (or more!) of our Rescue Friendly items.  Not only will the proceeds go directly to the dogs in our care, you will also help spread the word!

Donate.  All the dogs in our care get, and deserve, nothing but the best.  All the dogs are spayed/neutered, receive all required vaccines and are micro-chipped prior to adoption.  They also receive any other necessary veterinary care.  Our adoption fee does not cover all the expense incurred with each dog we rescue.  All donated funds go directly to the dogs.  Please consider a donation today.  You can donate easily and securely on-line using Pay Pal or mail your donation to:

Snow Capped Shepherd Rescue

You can also dedicate your donation to Odin's Fund.  We have created this special fund for those dogs, like Odin, that come to us with higher than usual medical or behavioral needs.  Read Odin's Story and consider a donation today.

Besides for monetary donations, we can also use supplies to help us care for our dogs.  Needed items include:

              • Crates
              • Beds or Gently Used Comforters
              • Leashes and Large Collars
